Richard Glenn is a Portland-based artist working primarily in glass. His unique photo-collages in kilnformed (fused) glass have gained him a national reputation and several prestigious awards, including third prize in the 2006 North American Glass Biennial. Richard creates 2- and 3-dimensional works in glass that often incorporate imagery, using a complex process involving photo-resist etching and enameling.
He has studied at the Pilchuck Glass School, Pratt Fine Arts, the Studio at the Corning Museum, Pittsburgh Glass Center, the Bay Area Glass Institute, and other locations. Recently he has begun teaching his photo-resist process in his studio, as well as curating exhibitions for the Oregon Glass Guild.
